Do you like warm running water for a shower? Wifi that works? Well please keep looking, as living at a "noble" property was one of the worst experiences of my life. My 1 star is a compliment to this horrific place and company. Amongst the fake five star reviews on here, I'm glad everyone shares a hatred for one certain employee at noble, whose name I don't even have to mention, you just use your imagination.
Before I get to the struggles with trying to communicate with the company, I want to share a review of the actual building and apartment itself. "it will be all finished by September" they said, even though there is still fencing and building materials surrounding the building, it looks half done. Then inside, the stairwell looks like a five year old had designed and made it. The apartment itself, in all honesty, was nice, a brand new modern design, however the only issue was that it was very poorly made, using the cheapest appliances and materials money can buy. The walls and ceilings pealing off, and of course as I already mentioned, the hot water. There would often be times where I wouldn't even be able to wash my used dishes and pots, because the water was simply not warm at all, never mind wanting to shower. And for the overpriced nature of the place, the least I would expect is warm water. And with no hot water, also meant the heating system was also affected. Luckily, I was on a higher floor, where sunlight could come through the windows and warm my apartment up, but I remember once, a woman on the ground floor asked me whether my heating was working, and I replied that it wasn't, and she was clearly struggling in a freezing room. Awful. And of course, the wifi. A building of apartments filled with students, mixed with the forced online learning for university, was never going to end well. Not to mention the "professionals" who were also forced to work from home during covid, having no wifi will have really make it difficult. Something that we are paying for.
Now, onto my struggles with the actual "people" running the company. As I had transferred to a different university, I had to end my tenancy early, which I understood the process as it was all written in the contract. Getting into contact with anyone was the first problem, and I had not received a reply to my emails in weeks. The contract stated that if I find a replacement tenant, the process would be quicker and I would have to pay less admin fees, so I went out and found myself a replacement to take over my contract, and completed all the things that needed to be done to make sure the contract was in place, however yet again, I did not receive a reply for at least 2 weeks. By that point, the original planned person to take it over had backed out, as I'm sure they were worried by the awful communication of the company. I finally managed to get it all sorted, and it was a great feeling to finally get rid of them.
Another scam from this awful unethical company, was trying to get my deposit back. Around 6 months before I moved in, I paid a small deposit (around £300) to secure the room. Jade, the self proclaimed company director, tried to tell me that they do not take deposits, and that I was clearly lying. So of course, I found the emails that showed them asking for it, saying that I would get this deposit back when my term ends (providing the room was in its original state, which it was), and the bank transfer of that money to Noble. She then had to give in, as I had provided the evidence.
After an extremely stressful 3 months, I am finally Noble free, and if anyone is ever considering moving into a noble - owned property, I URGE you to do your research, as you will find some pretty eye opening things on this immoral company.
