This was a terrible experience for me as a tenant.
I'm renting since 2012 and not even once I had issues with letting agencies, but this one is different.
I went for the viewing and noticed a terrible smell in the living room, I've been assured is just a case of open the windows and aerate the property. After I signed the contract and went to move in , I bought from my own money lots of freshers. Nothing changed.
Complained to the agency and they told me to buy some plug-ins fresheners. Go figure.
After more emails and complaints they agree to send a professional carpet cleaner. No change in the smell. After more emails Ive been told there's nothing else they can do.
Moral of the story, I'll look for legal help as the agency refuses to sort the issue.
