Karl Tatler Heswall are the absolute worst agency I've ever had the displeasure of renting through.
Throughout our whole tenancy, the majority of people who work at this branch seemed incapable of returning a phonecall/email, and we had to chase and chase to get the tiniest result - I genuinely don't know what they are all paid to do.
Upon moving into one of their properties, we realised we had no real hot water due to a clogged boiler, we asked about this several times and eventually when we turned the heating on in the winter to find that THIS didn't work either - they decided reluctantly to send an official tradesman out to fix the issue.
The washing machine and fridge provided were mouldy/faulty and it was like trying to get blood out of a stone to get their 'handyman' out.
Every time he came he convinced us nothing was wrong and we ended up replacing all the white goods ourselves, and a leaking tap, despite paying FULL rent for all of these items to be included.
To name a few members of staff who repeatedly let us down regarding maintenance issues, health and safety issues, and overall competency.
Firstly - property manager, Jo (who has now left) was not interested in helping us with anything, told me the smell coming from the mouldy washing machine was 'perceptible' and that because it turned off and on it was not classed as any sort of issue. She ignored multiple requests to fix problems in the flat, dodged my calls but then answered when I rang off an unknown number.
She also called me 9 months into my tenancy to tell me my landlord was 'considering selling' - then the next day the property was up for sale on Rightmove unbeknownst to me.
Then Holly who replaced Jo (and has now also left - I'm seeing a theme here...) just ignored us all together, unless we rang - she once ignored my detailed email because, and I quote, I "didn't put any question marks".
To give credit to the two people who have been useful - new property manager Emma and also finance director Debbie - were both very polite and efficient in their jobs.
I know for certain that the landlord wasn't co-operative in a lot of our issues, and we have resolved this now by buying the property, but the staff at Karl Tatler couldn't have cared less, and I have rented through numerous agencies across England.
May I suggest you take this feedback very seriously and look at how you train your staff to deal with human beings - after all you do make a fortune from us!
