We called Gemma for a property in St Albans and asked her specifically if there was any official views or offers from anyone else as we were desperatly in need of a place for our family. She said no, you can come and view it, after our view on 4 Nov, we called her and told her we liked the property and told her also that we have another viewing, then we will make a decision, she said in this case she will not advise the landlord yet unless we cancel our other booking. After talking to my wife, we called ger back in 30 min and also sent her a message that we are happy to cancel our other viewing and make an official offer. We called her and sent messages all day on Friday without any respond and eventually she called at 16.00 to tell her that they decided to give the property to someone else becase he was a single guy and we are a family. When I spoke to her on Thursday, I told her about this exact situation and how it happened to us many times and she told us that this would not be the case and there is noone else. Not only Gemma and Gem lettings but the all estate agents and their representatives should stop seeing tenants as a commercial object, there are lives, children and their education at stake. When I told her that I lost the other property also because she told us that if we cancelled it she would put our offer through, and also told her that we are recording the call and if there is any law against what she and the landlord are doing we will fight for our right, she started lying and said that the other tenant also has a family which will move from abroad. They should all know that this market will turn around soon and tenants and buyers will remember the estate agents that are providing a service where they treat people as humans.

I’m so sorry but the Landlord decided to go for someone else. We had a lot of interest in the property and we always let the Landlord’s choose.
As mentioned we have other properties coming up and are always happy to try and help but it’s a very competitive market at the moment.

"Completely untrue"? Hmm. I understand defamation law well enough to make sure everything included in the above review was objectively correct and often demonstrable through emails exchanged. I have emails from Gemma on this subject from 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020 which I'd be happy to upload to avoid any doubt.
