Don't even try getting their service if you don't want to be homeless in the middle of everything. NO STARS IF POSSIBLE.
My partner and I have not seen it coming. or anyone in behalf of Dexters didn't even have the decency to email my partner and I, that they will not continue drafting our contract AFTER confirming that they have finshed gathering all our documents and completing the reference checks.
The reason? The tenant on the other room (a Teacher apparently according to her) doesn't agree with us moving-in only because we are a couple. It is so unfair and discriminating because our documentation and referencing were done already, while she, on the other hand, still has documents pending , yet to be submitted.
To cut the long story short, we have moved out of the property, in less than 48 hours after we move in because from Dexters had INFORMED us that "we are no longer moving in the property". Not even "Sorry you're going to be homeless" nor "Unfortunately we will not push through drafting your contract eventhough you have completed all your documents and referencing, for us to accommodate the other tenant who complained about you guys and who is already staying in the property with still outstanding documents" or the likes. Nothing. Nada.
I have emails to prove that we got accepted and processed accordingly.
Rest assured we will take whatever action regarding the unjust treatment, unfair discrimination and eviction from the property in Kingston Upon Thames This experience from Dexters and the said Teacher had caused us a great deal of stress, confusion and embarassment, on top of being practically homeless now. It had greatly affected us psychologically and physically as we are struggling to find a place to sleep on now.
My partner and I just arrived in the UK last month, and this experience was truly a welcome pack indeed. We are both healthcare workers.
