We believe that Beresfords is the best estate agent we have dealt with and, particularly, Nathan Francis and Tricia Ward at the Upminster branch were excellent.
We had a property whose sale was a real saga - during a property boom it took 2 years to sell and there were multiple outside events impacting that sale which made it by far the most complex either of us had been involved in; if you were to write an article in the weekend Money pages about it no one would think it was true. There were management agent issues, problematic mortgages, neighbours, legal delays, buyer dissatisfaction, mistakes (from others) and even our own acceptance the sale wouldn't happen.
We dealt with a few estate agents over the two years it took to sell the property but Beresfords were by far the best for their frequent communication, their honesty (including, which we both appreciated, honesty on negative events), their advice on practical next steps when issues occurred, and also their overall friendliness. At one point we were in daily communication with Nathan/Tricia but the real benefit we found with them was that they were proactive in trying to get the sale through, in sometimes very difficult situations (including our own, incorrect, belief it couldn't be completed).
The next time we sell a property we wouldn't think of engaging another agent: everybody else failed and we can't rate them higher.
