This 'agency' said and I quote "we are not a letting agency we are a viewing agency" after taking over £700 from me. This is a scam agency. For real. My fiance and I applied for a property with them - for months they would call us all day and night asking for more paperwork and more paperwork. They wanted us to secure a garaunteur EACH then they wanted to see both of our savings accounts... Neither of these things are a requirement. It is NOT a requirement to have a savings account. They wanted MULTIPLE forms of identification from me, even though I'm a British born national just like my fiance yet from him they only wanted one. Just because I'm obviously not white - they repeatedly asked me for more and more paperwork than my partner which made no sense as I have been in my job for 3 years and he had been in his for 6 months. I STATED MULTIPLE TIMES I AM PREGNANT. Yet they went out of their way to continually stress us out by emailing and calling us nonstop. The landlord said she was satisfied and we paid the deposit, got a move in date, organised a van, packed everything. Then less than 2 days later they call me in the middle of the night to say that the landlord has changed her mind. We were obviously furious! They had taken our money and given us a move in date for less than 2 days time. When I asked when we would be getting our deposit back they simply said 'we don't know' again and again and 'we are not a letting agency we are just a viewing agency' if this is true why the hell are you taking money? Why are we paying you a direct deposit? Scam artists.
