My wife and I decided to buy an investment property in 2005 and we spoke to a number of letting agents in Horsham for advice on the market. In terms of knowledge of the market and helpful advice, Leaders stood out from the rest and Kathy Taylor in particular was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and helpful. Although we had already paid a holding deposit on a property, Kathy advised us firmly but very politely that it was the wrong property for letting and recommended instead a totally different type of property.

We took her advice, and although we lost the deposit, have to this day been most grateful to Kathy for being so honest with us. We subsequently found a property that matched Kathy's recommendation and purchased it. Since then Kathy and her team have found all four of our tenants. They carry out a fastidious check/credit check on each potential tenant and when on one occasion the check did not meet Leaders criteria, Kathy proposed an alternative solution which was satisfactory to the tenant and protected us against unnecessary financial risk.

Kathy keeps us regularly informed on the status of the Horsham rental market and at each rent review has recommended to us an appropriate monthly rent for the next period. She has also provided valuable guidance how to deal with one of our tenant who proved difficult after he had given notice to quit.

Very importantly too for us is that Kathy and her team have always found a new tenant within two weeks of receiving our instructions, thus minimising loss of rental through an unoccupied property.

In summary Leaders is an excellent rental agency and Kathy an outstanding manager - a perfect combination for a landlord.

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
