If I could give zero stars I definitely would.
Avoid at all costs.
We originally wanted to sell our property back in mid 2020, at first everything seemed to go great. But after discussing with agent that viewings would be difficult with 3 big dogs we would need to work around it. This request was ignored completely by the agent. We had at least 5 viewings in the space of an hour, absolutely ridiculous. We decided that this was very over whelming and wanted to cancel but the agent said "it takes time for a sale to go through". We appreciated that but we wanted to cancel, he then went on to say "he would put a sale break for a couple of months". We agreed as long as there was no "hidden fees". He reassured us that there would be no fees until after 10 months if the house gets sold which he reassured us it would be and we would be over the moon with the offer we would get.
A few months pass and circumstances change, we decided to put the house up for sale, within a day there was viewings booked after viewings booked, and again we felt over whelmed but luckily a friend of the family came along and offered us a cash offer, so we agreed.
The agent wasn't happy about it.
But things started going well until that is we found out that the house was in trust, so selling the house wasn't going to be as easy as we thought and also it would've been very costly to change the house's status. So the sale never went through. So on the 1st of December 2020, we spoke to our agent and told him the situation and that we would think about putting the house back on the market after the new year.
Fast forward to the 22nd of may 2021. We get an email to say that £1500 would be debited from our account in July. What? We speak to the agent who then starts been very abusive and rude down the phone, stating "read your messages on the hub!".
I go on the hub and the last time we spoke to him was 1st December 2020.
He then states on the messages, after I message and ask "where are these messages you was telling us about?"
That the house was still live, then the house was down as sold.
The house had been off the market since September.
So what is the £1500 for?
I have put in a complaint about the agent. He was rude and aggressive on the phone. Not the professional estate agent he claimed to be.
