To anyone looking to rent from Maison Properties, I'd like to make you aware of how they treat their tenants. A friend of mine was forced to leave the property after being served an eviction notice - while pregnant - because the landlord wanted to sell the house. This occurred after she had raised numerous maintenance issues. Maison Estates facilitated this eviction, and it left both my friend and her young son homeless. She lost her pregnancy shortly afterwards.
Despite offering her entire deposit to cover the remaining rent at the time of the eviction, my friend has been pursued a year later by Maison's insurer with a bill of over £1000 (including £350 of adminstration fees and interest). I tried to help her complain to Maison Estates, but they refused to redress this or even to apologise to her, and they were extremely rude in how they responded to me.
Please bear this in mind if you wish to deal with Maison Estates.

We acknowledge your comments however with respect, you are not a client of MAISON Estates. Furthermore, the party you are trying to represent has been communicated to by our Legal team clearly stating her dispute is with the insurers and not our Agency. Under GDPR regulations we will not discuss any client case in the public domain. We also add that both MAISON Estates and the Landlord have not acted illegally or improperly in this matter as corroborated by our Lawyers. In such cases a client has the option of formally complaining to the Property Ombudsman or appointing a solicitor on a ‘No Win No Fee’ basis as opposed to unfairly disparaging and harassing our company which is being treated very seriously. We refer you to our Lawyers correspondence dated 22nd March and 11th April 2021. We urge the client or any representative to deal with dispute in a professional manner using the options available. With Regards.
