We’re disappointed to hear you’re unhappy with our service. At Lamont , we pride ourselves on quality service for tenants and Landlords. Due to COVID-19 we’ve had difficulty in actioning the eviction process of tenants due to the increased backlog of cases in the courts, resulting in a 6 month eviction process being put in place. We are doing everything we possibly can in order to remove problem tenants with as minimum impact as possible on the good tenants within the development.

As you know, Lamont is based in Birmingham however we’re pleased to have recently employed a local lettings manager. That said, there remains a heavy reliance on the local agents in Keighley to find the tenants. We trust that these agents use the correct referencing in order to find the best fit for our development and of course, Lamont has never knowingly housed a convict.

As I’ve explained previously, Lamont is responsible for the inside of your flat, however anything beyond your front door falls under the remit of Ringley Property Management. Lamont has no control over how any external areas are managed and have in fact written a series of formal complaints to Ringley in support of the tenants.

To be clear Miss Richards, Lamont didn’t move you in, it was a third party agent in the local area acting on our behalf. Ultimately however, it was your decision to move there. As your tenancy is periodic, you are free to give a month’s written notice at any time and vacate the property.
