I had worst experience in being a tenant with this agency.
Contract Issue:
In September 2020, I had signed a contract and moved in on Saturday. In two days later on Monday morning they sent 6 weeks notice to all tenants to vacate the property as the landlord was asking the house back. It seemed that they had hidden the information to get few weeks rent from a tenant rather than leaving the room empty.
Utility Topup Issue:
The house had prepaid cards for energy which was not informed earlier. Topping up the card was left to the tenants and no one bothered to topup and lived in dark expecting other person to topup. I realised that mostly only one tenant topped up previously and became fed up on doing it every time. I ended up topping up every time as none bothered. The agency doesn't bother about anything other than collecting the rent.
Cleaning Issue:
When I moved in the house had huge pile of rubbish was outside the front of the house and the agent Will told me that it was left by the previous tenant. I requested the agency to clean it but never heard from the agent again on the issue. The weekly bin collectors didn't take it as it was not in proper bin bags. Every 2 weeks a cleaner comes to clean the house but the rubbish pile outside was not cleared by them as it was not inside the house. There were many letters from nearby residents in front door complaining about the rubbish. As I lived in front room ground floor, I ended up clearing the rubbish and put them in proper bin bags as it was stinky to live next to it.
The agency offer fortnightly cleaning. The kitchen bin kept overflowing between the fortnightly cleaning and no one in the house bothered. As it is multi tenancy, pushing other tenant to do it was a hassle and the agency doesn't bother about it. So I ended up clearing the stinky bins every time.
Also during the stay, the backside garden was inaccessible with overgrown grass, cigarette buds pile and rubbish.
Deposit Issue:
I vacated the room in mint condition in 6 weeks time. Sent pics of the room while vacating. Still the agent has not given my deposit back till now (5 months after vacating). Phone calls are not answered (Both Landline and mobile) and repeated emails are not replied.
After loosing patience, I am now writing this review online and also exploring about options to complain to council about non return of deposit money.
I wouldn't recommend this agent. Stay well clear of the hassle.
