The move date was changed only three days after the original offer and was mutually agreed by both you and the landlord to allow the landlord some time to do some extra works at the house.
The landlord agreed the terms of the offer but there was no tenancy agreement issued to you as this is only presented to tenants once the references and contract are approved by the landlord. However the landlords became concerned when there were some discrepancies between the details you put on the application form and the final reference report that came back. This raised questions from them and led them to ask for further information. *We were in constant communication with you via both email and telephone to keep you updated on the situation. We had several long conversations with the landlord, however they still had concerns and we later received an email from them to say they no longer wanted to proceed with your offer. We immediately informed you of their decision and asked for your details to be able to return the holding deposit to you. Once we later were able to speak to them to find out more about their reasoning, this was relayed back to you.
When a holding deposit is received, the property is removed from the market, which is why during this period it would have shown on our website as ‘Let Agreed’. The property will now show as available as landlord looks for new prospective tenants. Again, I understand that this was a stressful situation for all involved and not an outcome any party wanted.
