When I moved into the property as a tenent the guy from Haarts, Scot Cave, was very good and things went along like cloakwork. The house was filthy but I buckled down and cleaned it thoroughly thou I did draw the line at the disgusting cooker and oven and Scot arranged to have it professionally cleaned. At house inspections any problems were sorted straight away. However once he left things changed drastically. No one arrived for inspections days, maintenance went undone. I had a serious problem with the rear garden, which was made up of 3-4 foot tall raised beds which started to fall down. The garden could not be used and became like a demolition site and very dangerous. I could not allow my grandchildren out there to play or sit out there myself. I complained and complained for 2 years. I wrote letters, sent photos, rang the office, infact my garden problem became an office joke!!! I even got quotes for them. The shed roof fell in ontop of all my garden stuff. Damp came throu the bedroom ceiling, Nothing got sorted. Eventually I was so angry I wrote and told them that if they did not sort out the distruction in the garden I would stop my rent until it was made safe. 2 months later they telephoned me to say someone was coming round. A very cheap job ensued and I commenced making rental payments. Then the electrics failed and i was told that the box was old and not up to EU standard and a water leak occurred costing me a fortune in water rate. Suddenly I was inundated with letters and phone calls stating that I was 2 months behind with the rent!!! I said I wasnt and to look at the letter I had sent them months previously again. I also reiterated that I wanted compensation for the fact that I had paid full rent for 2 yrs for a garden that I could not use. It was then I informed them of the electric and water problem along with all the other small things that hadnt been sorted over the 4 yrs I had been there. The next day I was given a 2 month eviction notice and told the landlord had decided to sell due to the amount of work required!!! HAhaha what a joke suddenly its advertised as a rental property with an upped rent. I left the place spotless, even had the carpets cleaned as i was supposed to, I'd had the loft insulated as there was none and ended up leaving mid dec. I decided I wanted to be there when Haart deemed to make an inspection, 1 hour late, and the girl continually looked down her nose at me and walked around with her clipboard as if she owned the place. As yet I am still waiting for my deposit back and will be intouch with them on Monday. I shall be making a formal compaint to their head office. And would say DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I have had to rent, throu no fault of my own and have been unfortunate in having 5 properties in the last 7 years, None of the other EState Agents have been anywhere near as bad as HAARTS

Dear Mg27 I am disappointed to hear you have had a negative experience when dealing with ourselves and we have looked into this issue for you. If there is an offer put forward on a property at any point prior to exchange of contracts we have a legal obligation as an agent to put all offers forward for the owner to consider. It sounds like in the particular circumstance the own decided to proceed with the other buyer after this had happened. I would hope that having lost the property Adam and ...
