Letting from Slater Hogg was the worst experience of our lives! Never met people that do not give a toss about their job and customer service as much as I have since dealing with them. Scott Dickie was completely useless, lied to us from the start and brushed off any blame of things to other people. Told us to go in and sign the lease and pick up keys on a certain date. We turned up at the office to do so, he wasnt there and nobody else had a clue what was happening and to be honest they couldnt have cared less. We finally got hold of Scott who was working from home and he said we werent getting the keys as the landlord had now asked for a gurantor (something we could have provided had we been asked). He said somebody had tried to call us on the Tuesday (lies) even though he actually emailed us on the Tuesday to confirm for the Friday. We thought we were moving in that day so had all our belongings in a van with nowhere to go. We ended up having to stay with parents, then lockdown happened the next week so that was us stuck. We managed to get hold of someone 6 weeks later, a lovely girl callled joanne from the west end office who went above and beyond for us and came over to open up the paisley office to enable us to get the keys. Once in the property it was filthy (even though it should have been cleaned for us the 6 weeks previously when we were meant to be moving in). Once in, after a few months the fridge broke and we were left for 10 days with no fridge or freezer and the usual passing the buck from one person to the next. There was a constant leak from the shower and the water was running down to the hall right above the fusebox, we complained so many times but nothing was happening. We contacted Scott Dickie for help as the repair team were not doing anything and his response was basically this has nothing to do with me! We ended up being able to contact the landlord direct who was not happy with the way things were dealt with by Slater and Hogg and let us organise our own reapairs. The incompetence of Scott Dickie and his team lead to our landlord leaving Slater Hogg and going with a new agency much to our relief!
