I absolutely advice you against using this agency. If I could I'd give them 0 stars ! They took us on a house viewing and showed us a few different houses. We kind of liked one but weren't quite sure as we've already seen some other places as well. They told us as long as you pay the holding fee, which would be "100% refundable" we'd be alright and we'd get our money back even if we'd change our minds. So we went with it, paid the holding fee which was meant to be refundable. And we fortunately decided to go with another agency. When we contacted Horizon Properties to ask for our holding fee back they said they'd transfer the money in 3 or 4 working days. Obviously, days passed, we call again. They say the same thing. They apologise and said to give it a week and they'll sort it. After a week we called again and same again. Months past until they even forgot who we are! In the end no money and we became innexistent to them. The agents there would tell you anything to make you pay the holding fees. That's quick profit! Taking advantage of new students or people who don't speak good English. Horrible business, untrustworthy and fishy

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
