Our house went on the market in August 2020, it took 5 months to get the sale through, and we do understand that Covid restrictions did play a part in this.
However that being said our buyers lost their buyer and changed over to a buy to let mortgage so they could still purchase our house.
What Leaders failed to inform us at that point is that we could no longer exchange and then complete a week later, it all needed to be done on the same day - we only found this out the week we thought we were supposed to be exchanging.
Although not a huge deal, this was not a situation we wanted to find ourselves in without any fore-warning and were not impressed by this coming as a surprise.
Luckily the sale went through smoothly, however when the bill came through to us it was not what had been agreed over the phone - we were told that the conversation we had, had never happened: if there was no record in writing, we cannot prove that this conversation took place as I have no recollection of it which meant that we had to pay the new total.
If there had been a hint of remorse or even a sorry for the misunderstanding we would have come away slightly happier - but a plain refusal that the conversation even occurred was very surprising and rather insulting.
The contract was ambiguous stating that +VAT if payable under the terms of our agreement and the figures below, to give examples of what we were to be charged had not been filled in - so we naively thought that their word was good, and did not pursue this further.
All I can say is if dealing with them please do make sure you get everything in writing and do not take their word for it, lesson learnt.

Rented a property from Leaders last year. I was not given complete information regarding No deposit option. IT was not clearly mentioned to me that the NDO fee is not refundable and it is an additional rent. This had cost me close to £400 loss...
