Went to see a flat, informed them after a viewing that I wished to rent the property. I was informed that they would gain the landlady’s consent and get back to me. Never heard anything back for 3 weeks and property now let, didn’t have the courtesy to let me know. The property according to right move was no longer on the market whilst I was waiting for a response, then it was back on the market with a different date available than initially advised.
Totally unprofessional and doesn’t install confidence in you if there was a problem with the flat then I get the impression you would be waiting ages for it to be recitified.
Very restrictive conditions also, the flat I viewed had no parking. Due to covid it was an online viewing initially so I enquired if parking was available. I was told it was up for negotiation with the landlady. When I informed the EA I wished to rent it, I asked if parking could be included in the rental price, to be arrogantly told ‘like they said’ that it wasn’t available even though I was told it could be.
I am now renting with a competent estate agent.
