My poor experience with Scrivens…
In summary, I had an offer accepted on a property being sold by Scrivens. My offer was accepted and all relevant paperwork was distributed (MIP, ID etc) on the next working day. However, the following working day after that I was told that they had allowed more people to view the property and someone else had bid higher than me and therefore this new offer had been accepted. You can imagine my upset, disappointment and anger! No apology was given to me or even any 'understanding' words. I was told 'its not illegal, unlike Scotland' and encouraged to engage in a bidding war against the other people wanting the property, which I will not be doing.
Since writing my poor review, I was contacted by the office manager at Scrivens, who apologised profusely for my poor treatment and said 'it was something, morally, that she would not do herself'. She has since spoken to the other agent in question about their choice of wording to customers.
Despite this, I have still sold my property (lower than what I wanted for it because I lowered my offer on the one I wanted) and I have no other options of where to go. I understand that people have to make money but these are people's lives that they are dealing with and I expect estate agents to have some morals.
I had cancelled further viewings I had had on my property because when you accept an offer, that is the decent thing to do. Unfortunately, this was not reciprocated.

Best Estate Agent in Hinckley 
Your offer was accepted in writing, subject to satisfactory identification checks, on the morning of Monday 26th October.
However unfortunately, later that same day (before the relevant paperwork was distributed) we received a higher offer from a couple who viewed the weekend before, Saturday 24th of October. The vendor herself made the difficult decision to accept the higher offer on her property.
