Avoid this agency by all means! Very unprofessional staff! So many lies and promises that never happened. The worst letting experience in my life full of stress! In August Krista and Cameron have done the viewings for the property I have chosen to rent, none of them had shown us the full territory of the property, which I have to maintain and which includes front garden with lots of trees and bushes. I have found about that only on the day my tenancy started. In August we have signed the pre tenancy agreement, have passed all the relevant checks. Once we have paid money for the property, they completely lost interest communicating to us. All September we have been calling and emailing Cameron about the actual contract to sign, but he was postponing this procedure until 29th September (4 days till tenancy start) and then we have received a phone call from Cameron where he was saying the house has been professionally cleaned and disinfected and the next day we have received draft contract. We have read it asked some questions related the agreement, Oasis replied and then silence...We have sent another email requesting the contract without luck. One day before moving in, Cameron gave us a call telling that the landlady will be doing check in not mentioning anything about the contract when we asked. On the day of tenancy supposed to start I rented a van came to the property full of my staff. The landlady met me, pointing out to forget about the Oasis, as suddenly she has her own tenancy agreement which I have to sign ASAP, because she is in rush. The new agreement was completely different to the one Oasis offered. It took me some time to read everything. Then she showed me the garden I have never been showed before saying I have to maintain it, when I explained that no one showed me it before, the landlady said, that it's my problem, if I don't like it, sign the contract or don't waste my time. When I called Krista, she only said "sorry". So I had no choice but to sign landlady's contract otherwise my family would end up on the street. I quickly reloaded the van and came back to my old place to finish packing. The next day, which was Sunday we moved in and suddenly my wife started to have an allergic attack, she is very allergic to mould. After we have examined the property, we have found multiple locations of mould in wardrobes, windows and cupboards. The property was in horrible condition, stinky carpet flooring, dust everywhere, curtains, our white socks became black just after we entered it. We have called the landlady she started shouting at us saying that we have done all that mould, dust and dirt, screaming to get out of her house and leave the keys to her friend and she is calling the police. We said ok, but return us our money back which is one month rent and five weeks deposit, she refused and hang up. There where three other people witnessing this situation and they were shocked seeing property conditions and landlady's attitude. When we have looked at landlady's check in inventory report which also was wrong dated, one day before we have started our tenancy agreement, she stated that the property is in a good condition. We have sent two emails to Oasis, no one replied us. On Monday 5th October, the landlady has arranged cleaning services, we had to bring all our belongings outside for a couple of hours under the rain. And still the house wasn't clean enough, it's the seventh day of our tenancy and we are still cleaning, we have done the 185 pages inventory amendments report. Only on Tuesday we have got a reply from Cameron to one of our messages, asking - Is everything sorted now? When I have tried to reach him, apparently he was busy and his manager just apologised about our situation, stating that this kind of things do happen. Oasis customer service is terrible, I also work in customer service sphere and have large client database, and I would not recommend Oasis to anyone. They lied to us, manoeuvring about tenancy agreement, cleaning and also they said the landlady is a nice lady living in Germany, but apparently she lives in Yorkshire. Hopefully Oasis director will read this review as I have asked to pass my emails to him/her, but nobody contacted me. And certainly, none will cover the cost of time lost to move my staff in and out the property for cleaning purpose, while seeing my wife stressed and 2 year old child crying, just because some irresponsible personnel didn't know much about property that they shown us.
And an extra bit of grief on top of this was disappearance of my scan tool tablet, which costs £500, right after professional cleaning company visit to the property, arranged by the landlady on the 3rd day of our tenancy. Hope, you Oasis guys will read my review and put yourself in my family's place in this situation. Regards
