I've lived in this Y&Y managed building for just under 10 years and seen at least 3 building managers in this time. I'd have agreed with every 1 star horrible review of Y&Y till recently when Meir Dove took over the management.

He responds to every issue and every email, takes care of the problem very quickly and efficiently and has completely changed my opinion of Y&Y. I hope he gets rewarded for this massively coz it's been an uphill task so far with these guys with bad comms, unfair notices, and general apathy to the residents.

There's been issues with flytipping for a very long time and we've consistently received letters saying we will be charged if we don't stop littering, except no one who lives in the building would do that when we have a designated/locked bin area (and I've emailed this very argument to them in the past). Meir joins the team, those letters stop and instead the actual culprits outside of the building are sent warnings and within a couple of weeks, the problem of the past 5-10 years just stops. Investigation and action done! I had requested that we be provided with Recycle bins over a year back and had chased on it a couple of times. I mentioned it to Meir last month and within a couple of weeks, a Council provided recycle bin is installed.

He investigated everything, got it sorted and without any drama. I really appreciate that and I hope he continues how he's started. He can really improve Y&Y's reputation! If this review was only for him, I'd have gone with 5 stars but Y&Y have caused me pains for 9 years, so I'm docking a star for that.

Our service charges doubled within a couple of years of Y&Y took on the management of the building. I can't say with certainty whether this was their fault but it's worth mentioning. It's now equivalent to two months rent. Then on top of that charges appear from years ago from time to time. £500 was just invoiced recently on the basis that it was some kind of underpayment from 2018. When I have dealt with there staff directly I have found them to be extremely aggressive bordering on rude. ...
