Have been letting property for over 20 years, and have never come across such an inefficient and incompetent agency. And if you check out Trustpilot, you'll see 41% of people have said they are poor or terrible! The ones I had to deal with were very badly trained, arrogant, didn't listen, gave bad advice and as for the invoice/statement, they couldn't even get my surname or country of residence right, using an address I stayed at once many years ago. I've still not managed to get that changed. Getting paid is not an easy process either - I've still not been paid in full. The poor tenants were unable to check in on time due to Hamptons advising me when I asked that an electrical certificate was not required, and then informing me the day before the tenants moved in they'd made a mistake, it was and they had just the people to do it at £420 quid on a friday afternoon (my own contractor charges £150.00 but of course he was busy at zero notice). I was damned if I was going to fall for that one so ended up spending several hours on the phone finding someone other than Hamptons contractor available. Incredible landlords are expected to pay for this highly stressful experience! AVOID AT ALL COSTS
