I have been dealing with Adeel whom to this my email (Dear Adeel, Could you kindly reply with an update?
You have been originally informed on the 16/09/2020, therefore you knew it was a work that needed to be organised and you had the confirmation email Joanne last Sunday.
It is now Wednesday evening now and you gave me zero updates.
I have no privacy in my own room and I can not sleep without the curtains up.
Looking forward to your reply.)

To only get this rude and disrespectful response : Dear Ilaria,
Finally I manage to reach my desk and check my emails at this hour after a very long day; I do not expect to receive the emails with the disgusting tone as you have sent. When I am at my desk, you may notice (…or probably not) that you receive responses quite swiftly. I shall reserve myself to respond to such emails.
Just to make things clear, you do not employ me, you do not pay me, I do not answer to you… and I do not manage your property; also we do not have any agreement or contract whatsoever.
I suggest if it has been so long and you are concerned about your privacy and not being able to sleep; get some duct tape and stick your curtains; until they are repaired. Or put some newspaper up in the windows… try and improvise.
In the mean time, no one has yet bothered to get back to me with more important issues regarding a date for the upgrade of your consumer unit… and as time goes on, the engineer will have more bookings which will push the date further and further.
If it helps; the sooner you and the house mates whom you have copied in your email get back to me; I can organise the consumer unit and the curtains as the engineer has agreed to look at the lights and fix the curtain rail you have been going on about.
If you are going to write back with an attitude; I will not respond or entertain you. If you remain polite I shall be more willing to assist…

I look forward to your apologies for the unacceptable tone used my your agent as a simple email stating that he still didn't manage to get in contact with an handyman instead put on show this ridiculous behaviour.

Also, please find my reply to his email.

"Dear Adeel,
Thank you for your email.
I am sorry to hear that you find my tone disgusting, it was not my intention to provoke nor disrespect you.
My intention was to get an update from you as it is Wednesday and you only just gave me an update.
You did not explained, in the previous emails, that the electrical engineer would also have to fix the curtains in my room at once, as I was hoping to get it sorted to have a bit of privacy and rest after, believe it or not, a long day working in a healthcare department during this whole pandemic.
I do not appreciate the sarcasm in your tone as I did not use any disrespectful connotation in my previous email, therefore I'm kindly acknowledging your suggestions but I'll leave the DIY projects to someone who does it for a job as I do not wish to damage the wall or windows with the duck tape.
I am sorry if I've bothered you with my request and, as you have suggested, I have emailed Joanne that then emailed you asking to sort out the curtains in my room.
Could you then kindly provide the details or name of the person I should contact in future, please?
Unfortunately, I am not in control of my housemates rotas but I am more than certain that they will back to you as soon as they have a moment of air.
I am aware of the time difference between Joanne and us as I have never complained about her response time.
I do not like the threatening attitude you are using as I believe this is part of your job tasks (and if I'm wrong I apologise and ask you again to provide me with the details of the person I shall contact in the future) , therefore I kindly ask you tu use a more professional tone as I did not use any disrespectful ways like you are.
Yi Jing and Stephan, could you kindly provide a date for the electrical engineer visit?
It will have to be from the 7th of October.
I do understand that this pandemic is pushing everyone's buttons but crushing the dignity of another individual using vile tones won't get anyone any further.
Kind regards,
Ilaria"
