Being an ex estate agent and mortgage consultant myself, and associate of the NAEA through the eighties and early nineties, having met Paul Beresford and knowing ex Beresford's employees, my expectations of an estate agent service was solid and set in my mind. The essential elements of home sale have not changed since my time in the industry. Beresford's were chosen by my father on my recommendation to market his home based on my experience and knowledge from back in the day, as most other independents have since ceased trading. I took over as Attorney to his estate just after instructions were received. I was not disappointed despite a few minor communication hic ups in the very early stages of my involvement. Having a well researched buyers listing is important to match property and person, together. Beresford's had done their research and matched two interested parties within a few days, the first to view made an offer, we negotiated, and a sale subject to contract was agreed. All communication was timely, courteous, and respectful. Some may say a lot of money to pay for the first to buy, BUT that is what you pay for a sale not a timeline. The reputation that Paul and his father worked so hard to establish in the early days of Beresford's has not been tarnished in my mind. Good Job! Shame George Dickman is not on the staff listing to select as being tagged in this review, his boss Paul Woods is.
