Where do I start. Awful from the beginning. I am extremely disappointed with the lack of organisation and communication at Life Residential. From the get go I constantly had to 'chase' the estate agent - Sarah, whether it be to reply to simple texts/emails, I had to ASK to pay a deposit, which they couldn't accept until 1 working day before we moved in, we then moved in with incomplete contracts - Sarah had accidentally factored an extra week into our tenancy - I was then called approximately 8 times the evening we moved in, begging us to re-sign a 'revised' contract. On arrival, to the flat on move in day, we were checked-in by Cliff - who noticed 10 or so faults with the property, be it broken chairs, broken sofa, light fittings etc, he emailed the lettings manager cc'ing us. Half this stuff never got resolved. Cliff also arranged a 'retrospective meeting' to gather feedback on how Life Residential could do better - we had an honest conversation, however we never heard from Cliff again after this. Then comes the mould... The building itself was a lovely modern flat - 4 or 5 years old. But our flat had a huge mould problem, the mould was so extremely bad (3D, green/black, fluffy and a good square metre big) in the master bedroom that I had to sleep in the living room for 2+ weeks - it was a huge health and safety hazard. Szilvia - our property manager did nothing but argue and blame. I was accused of not having the window open, drying clothes in my room, all sorts - I had never done any of this. It turned out the mould was due to a leaky shower...no apology, another argument which got me a reimbursement of £100 (I would've preferred to sleep in my own bed). Fast forward to moving out... Szilvia then docked our deposit for...Mould. After once again, arguing that (which never actually got resolved), we then had to wait nearly 2 months to get our deposit back - £2250 is a lot of money for 3 newly graduated professionals, and to wait nearly 2 months for it is diabolical. (oh and then I got blamed for it taking so long due to sending them 'incorrect bank details' - I did not.)
