Maybe the company is the oldest on the market ( 1805 as per Wikipedia ) it these agents were an absolute joke !
All started when we asked to see a property for rent last week . It was difficult for myself and wife to make time for it as we are both working full time in NHS. When we finally got there at 6:30 pm , the agent takes us inside , apologised nicely to the current tenants and shows as a DIFFERENT property (!!!). When we told him he started to argue until we showed him the pictures . It looks like it was in the same street but different numbers . He eventually apologised again to to the current tenants and to us and promised he will make it right . After calling the office for 3 days ( as Fergus) decided not to talk to us anymore I finally reached his boss apparently ( Jonathan Westlake ) who told us the property we are looking to view has quite difficult tenants and the only keys to the property are with them . He promised he will show the property this time and will make it right though . After a few other days we finally got a second appointment to see the same property, again after a full day at work . We finally got there , met Jonathan who told us he doesn’t have the right keys to the property with him and suggested maybe I should try to open the door with the key he has at the moment ( maybe I’ll get lucky as he suggested ) . I basically remained speechless for a few seconds and thought I was just invited to force the key and entry to someone’s hose without having authority for that . In the end, I told him they are all really unprofessional and a joke after which we left ....
