Many thanks for your review of Mint Homes following the end of your tenancy.
Cleaning
We are sorry you feel disappointed regarding a deposit deduction for cleaning, however, the oven was brand new in November 2018 so was less than a year old when you moved into the property and was clean at the start of your tenancy, plus some extra cleaning was required elsewhere, as you will see from your check in and check out report and photographs.
Parking
The property has never had an allocated parking bay and Mint Homes didn't advertise it to include one, however, the property does have a residents and a visitors on street parking permit available in the zone for Low Fellside and this includes the near by streets sign posted for permit holders. You were provided with all the information on how to apply, by email, on 26 July 2019. Therefore, we are unsure why you didn't apply for these two free residents parking permits and chose to park at Booths and pay a fee instead. At no time did you contact us to advise if there was a problem with this and to see if we could help.
Mould
Our maintenance reporting system allows you to attach pictures and include a detailed description of the problem. The details of how to report any maintenance were provided to you within your in-going inventory. It is also our website and at the bottom of all our emails. A member of staff also visited the property in February 2020, with one of you present, but no mould or condensation was reported or pointed out. We have checked all our records but unfortunately neither of you reported an issue relating to mould so I'm afraid we were not given the opportunity to investigate this for you.
End of tenancy - keys
Your tenancy ended on a bank holiday Monday so our office was closed, however, your end of tenancy letter provided details of how and when to return your keys and in the event of the office being closed, to put them through our letter box. If you had concerns prior to check out regarding the bank holiday office hours you could have contacted the office prior to the day for advice.
