When we first approached them, we were told that we were 2 months too early and told to ring them again next month which we did. Then we were told we were late because the notice period is usually 2 months. This has left us with limited choice and have to make a decision really quick. We have given them all the criteria we are looking for and one of it (we keep on mentioned this) was we might wanna have a small pet in future and they didn't take this into account until the contract process where we inquire about a pet and been told to pay more. We were expecting it has included in the total rent as we have mentioned this on numerous occasions. We also told them our budget and they show lots of property above our budget, they are not great in meeting tenant requirements. We have spoken to multiple Seymours staff throughout our process of looking for a property to rent and Seymours is very bad in handing over tenant profile from one colleague to another, we keep need to repeat stuff and been told lots of wrong information, for example, the white good comes with the property and they were not. As Seymours has monopoly the market we don't have much choice for not to go with them. I hope landlords will start using other agents that are more reliable and trustworthy. Seymours didn't take the let by sign for months and we have to take it down ourself. Seymours has included in the contract for the property to be professionally clean and it is illegal for an agent or landlord to insist tenants use a professional cleaner. We have highlighted this matter however they insisted that we were wrong which led us to contact the Tenancy Deposit Scheme. They finally come back and said we were right and would inform other tenants about this mistake ( We are not sure if other tenants are already being informed). It is very frustrating to deal with a not trustworthy agent, the flat was nice and cosy so we hope the landlord will use a different agent in the future.
