have a 2 bed property in Aberdeen which had been steadily rented out for a number of years. The property is modern and situated in convenient part of the city. Unfortunately, the property was vacant for an entire calendar year, which was not good from an investment perspective. I had assumed this was due to the challenging environment in Aberdeen with the oil industry downturn combined with the COVID-19 pandemic. As I live overseas, it was not possible to visit the property, however when I did get the opportunity to visit, it was very clear as to why it had not been tenanted. Despite the agent at the time (who will remain anonymous) informing me all was in order this clearly was not the case. I had to invest considerable time and money bringing it back to an acceptable level. In light of this, I changed to another agent who will also remain anonymous. In 6 months under their management they achieved 1 viewing. At this point, I reached out to Eduardo and his team at Martin and Co. Maxine proceeded to collect the keys directly from the agent which I would highlight, was probably above and beyond the normal call of duty given ongoing challenges with COVID-19. Additionally, probably not an enjoyable experience having to ask for keys from a competitor! Thanks for this Maxine! With the keys now in place, new photos were arranged along with an Interactive Virtual Tour of the property. 16 days later, a deposit was taken from an applicant. My experience in communicating with the team, mostly via Adam, has been excellent and the response time is quick, unlike other agents in the city. All in all, my experience in working with Eduardo, Maxine, Adam and the rest of the team has been good. Please accept my appreciation of the great work you guys are doing. I hope you can keep it tenanted and in a better condition than the last agent!
