In the beginning it's all great with Hayley being really nice and answering all your questions. It's once you're settled in that the madness starts. I moved in in August, and in September I had a big leak in my bathroom ceiling. Multiple times they sent over roofers, then carpenters to get rid of the mould, then roofers again. It got sorted in May!! Every time it rained it rained on me when I was in the bathroom. Not one penny compensation I got. Only emails with "thank you for your patience". They also treat tenants differently. They listen to one side of a story only. Then they get involved, then when you try to tell them your side of the story, they "don't want to get involved". For example, one housemate has not been here for 3 months. Upon his arrival back he made some claims, and now Zest are telling me there have been complaints. Whilst they have no idea I've been the one who cleaned up after everyone's mess for those months. Unfair treatment. Also, it feels like an open house. Every week there are people just walking in without knocking for fire alarm tests, change of locks, extra keys, inspections, it's been ridiculous. Every week they come and check the fire alarms and a lot of times without notice. It is now July and still about 95% of what was mentioned during the check in has not been resolved yet. Looking for another place to rent now.

As we have discussed on more than one occasion in the past, we are very sorry that you experienced maintenance issues in your room. Unfortunately, the particular issue you are referring to was very tricky to pin point and it did take several visits from various contractors.
Any visits we have carried out at the property have been essential, so that we can keep our tenants safe - some of these visits are a legal requirement. We would always give notice when entering your room, and always strive to give notice in the communal areas however this is not always possible in an emergency.
