Raphael Phillips of Houseman Properties is the model to which all agents should aspire: courteous, efficient, always contactable (until 10pm and at weekends!) and always fast to respond to questions and give updates on progress. Paradoxically, because we have never dealt with such a nice person- and someone so professional and 'on the ball'- we were shocked!! Everything was done so smoothly and efficiently- just the way things should be done- but sadly from experience with OTHER agents (even when buying and selling a property) they rarely achieve the degree of friendliness or professionalism that has been demonstrated by Raphael. The initial 'test' was in spelling- and pronouncing- my surname correctly: this is the first time an agent has shown such meticulous detail. Secondly, no move to a new property- especially after selling a house combined with a return to London after several years- is ever 'stress free' but Raphael succeeded in making the whole process of viewing and taking on a new tenancy both uncomplicated and relaxed, so we now can look forward to our future being happy and settled in our new home- especially as we know that Raphael will be on hand to provide information to help us sort out any issues that might arise as we move in! I doubt whether there are many tenants who would even consider inviting their lettings agents to their 'house warming'- but Raphael Phillips is certainly invited to ours.

Raphael and Emma are good value. From recent experience there are high-street / chain letting agents who charge more, but do (a lot) less. They are clear and transparent about their fees. I have no qualms in paying them their commission - they earned it!

Thank you for your testimonial. I think it is worth pointing out that in fact there are no additional charges once you vacate the property as the checkout report is paid for by the landlord. Most agencies hide this charge. Our agency fees have always been very competitive. On behalf myself and Emma we wish you happiness in your new home. ...
