Not sure if this is ethical or even legal as there's no clear instruction for buyers as if you don't come to an agreement to purchase it with the auction, you as a buyer ...
Nevertheless, whilst we appreciate your comments, all customers were advised from the outset of changes within the business that would affect timescales for all matters to be met. This was communicated out to all customer in writing.
We as a business had the to ensure the health and safety of our staff was not comprised and this unfortunately meant adopting working from home practices and utilisation of the Government's scheme in furloughing our staff.
We do note, however, that delays were caused by your Solicitor in raising the necessary enquiries you were obligated to ensure within the terms of the Reservation Agreement, and thus, were advised that breaching such terms could terminate the agreement putting your non-refundable Reservation Fee at risk of forfeiture.
Furthermore, you were unhappy that the Seller declined your offered price reduction and made no progress to ensure the matter completed within the agreed timescales of 56 days.
The sale was terminated due to your breaches of the Reservation Agreement and you were informed of the forfeiture of your Reservation Fee in writing.
We are sorry that you feel aggrieved by this in view of the aforementioned comments above; however, I feel my response reflects correctly what occurred during the transaction.
