I don't even know where to begin with this one. All I can say is what an utter disgrace this company is. 1 Star is the lowest I can rate otherwise trust me it would be a heck of a lot lower.
Firstly we found property link online as we were looking for a 7 bedroom property for our 3rd and final year of university and we came across one that was in the process of rebuilding. We arranged for viewing and were shown the plans for the house and after a lot of back and forth, we decided to settle and take the risk as we were running out of options for 7 people. This is where the problems began as we were asked to sign contracts which stated that we may not have wifi or heating etc until September when we'd already agreed we'd be moving into the property on the 1st July due to a number of us having jobs in the area. However, this was soon sorted and amended to suit us due to a lack of communication within the office - a common theme throughout the year I might add.
As the months were passing by we were getting curious to see what stage the house was at and even around march/april time it looked as if hardly any progress had been made and we were worried as we were moving in earlier than most tenants but again, this was sorted although we never actually got to see the property finished until the day we moved in which I can't lie, looked lovely.
As soon as we moved in problem after problem seemed to arise, for example, we were not given TV's in the property after being promised for months until August and were not given a sofa to sit on until the middle of august. I understand there is a lot of work to be done over the summer for all properties but this house was meant to be fit for purpose and this it was not. We also had to beg for weeks, and I mean beg - both myself, other tenants and guarantors to have the sofas and tv's installed baring in mind we'd already paid our retainer rent for the summer !
By the time everyone had moved in, the shower on the middle floor started leaking through the downstairs ceiling and we had to call the builder ourselves, who gave us his number as the agency were incapable of asking him to come round and sort issues and he had to come and fix this 3 times.
Another tenant also had mould growing in her room and to which the response was "buy mould spray and wipe it off" which is appalling considering she's asthmatic but again, this went on and on for months and still hadn't been sorted by the day we moved out.
We were also told that the area was primarily students which was a huge lie being that there were 4 student houses in the whole area. This led to a number of issues with 1 specific neighbour who lived behind us. She harassed us all year, threatened and swore at us several times and even tried to come into our house in the middle of an argument with us. I also received a phone call of the agency themselves around October time whereby they said they were going to go to the university and get us kicked out due to the complaints from 1 person. We are still yet to see evidence of these complaints as there were students living next door to us also who had parties etc all year round but yet we seemed to get the blame constantly. She repeatedly rang the agency and complained about us being too noisy to which we always got the same robotic response from the agency but they was no care for our safety or our concerns, they were more worried about doing an inspection to see if we were having parties, which we weren't as the whole country is on lockdown. Said neighbour also threatened me personally on my birthday to which she was politely told to stop whining :)
On top of all of this, Property Link also broke massive GDPR laws by copying all of us tenants and our parents into the same email, sharing all of our personal information with each other to which several parents are now seeking legal action due to the constant issues we've had all year.
Ive already seen several reviews about not getting deposits back so I can't wait to argue the toss about this one.
Long story short don't ever consider renting a property with these absolute cowboys as you'll just end up putting up with constant stress all year round and you'll be made out to be the bad guys when really it's like a playground in their office with children who can't seem to communicate or understand each other.
