I purchased the full Southcourt Property Business package which included a website and a detailed training package to set up my letting agency for a few hundred pounds. I was a working as a taxi driver, and for a while doing both jobs until I packed in the taxi. Southcourt property offered an all in one package that seemed established and professional so I took it!
Both the Letting and Estate Agency training and support are outstanding value for what you get: full start up procedures, operations, methods to find and secure landlords and tenants, the experience of a team that continually adds value and advice with no need for spending further costs. There's no doubt go above and beyond what's required.
In my opinion, the Business Package (I bought the paper version) is very professional and detailed, at the same time easy to understand and presented in a step by step format. The checklist is very useful. It avoids the need to go onto the web forums to find the latest material as Southcourt Property include an automatic update service for documents and industry updates. They're always innovating, and I see they now do a digital version so you can start immediately without waiting for delivery.
Before buying, Southcourt Property were attentive and diligent in answering all my questions with the benefit of their experience, and although I had my doubts, I'm glad to say it was the best decision I've made to change jobs.
After becoming a client, Southcourt's customer service standards have not dropped at all, in fact it's the best I've ever experienced from a company, totally professional, attentive and ready to assist. With their help and experience I've managed to build my business to the level it is now around my area north of London.
Support requests to the Southcourt team are always dealt with within the working day, but more likely within a couple of hours, which given the cost I paid is really good.
Once I submitted a support response to Southcourt and had the lettings document sent over within 5 minutes. Same for website and email issues – dealt with professionally by experts, for example if you forget your password or need a web change. You would think they'd charge a lot for website or software changes, but a lot of things are done for free!
The training pack was full of essential processes in setting up our new agency, with more than 100 methods of getting new clients on board – more than any other company I know of. When you add that to the fact that they include sales/how to set up an estate agent now, it's no wonder Southcourt Property are the leader in this field.
We've now got more than 50 properties, Sales and Lettings, and so far they've done two websites for me, and I'm about to update to one of their latest design at well below the market level for estate agent websites. Their software, hosting and email package is the cheapest you can find anywhere in the UK and is essentially unlimited on most aspects.
If you do go with ARLA or Property Mark, you will probably still need Southcourt's services, because there's no way ARLA are going to provide so much support, so many ways to start, grow and run your business or the exceptional level of ongoing service they provide.
Fully recommend Southcourt Property, they absolutely changed my life.

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
