Absolutely shocking customer service. My friend (currently in Brighton) and I (currently in Lincoln) are hoping to move to Sheffield and viewings are difficult to come by I understand the circumstances but Hunter's have gone above and beyond to make it a complete waste of time and money. Earlier this week said friend arranged a booking for me to go to today (2:30 pm Thursday 25th June), he was told on Tuesday this was the earliest viewing they could do. I showed up on time, waited, no-one arrived. I looked through the email confirmation and it turns out they have mistakenly booked the viewing to be on Thursday 23rd July by mistake. I call up, politely explained that there has been a mistake made for the date of the viewing at this property. Now mistakes happen of course, just that alone would not have not been ideal but what can you do. However the receptionist customer service was atrocious. I asked if anyone would be able to show me around the property that afternoon as they had made a mistake with the booking and I'd driven over from Lincoln just for this. After some back and forth and unwillingness to accept that Hunter's had done anything wrong the woman on reception then told me that my friend had called up the night before to cancel the viewing, so I explained that this was not true but she continued to say that is what had happened, effectively calling me a liar. I asked for the name of the person who had called up to cancel this booking and eventually she told me their name is Alexander, which is not my friend's name. She then told me that the property had been let agreed two days previously anyway, but they had not bothered to email to let us know. I said that it was still showing as available on Zoopla that morning but she said there can be a delay with these third party websites, but she told me on their website it had been removed. So either way this was a wasted journey. She apologised but said there was nothing they could do, how about petrol money reimbursement for the waste of time and money? After the call I checked Hunter's website and low and behold the ad for the rental property in question was still showing as available, which in fact made her a liar. I explained all of this to my friend who called them and he found out that Hunter's had messed up at every step of the way. What a shambles.
