0 from me, I have just last week (27/4/2020) received a debt collecting letter, not from themselves but from a debt collector, we did not receive any correspondence from Y&Y that this was going to happen....they now want £288 in fees, which I will be disputing with legal help!! Just a heads up, I did pay the outstanding balance owed, rightly so, As I explained over the phone, I had the funds so there was no way I would of let this slip by if I would of had the communication from Y&Y. Very unprofessional service, I will be contacting the freeholders with regards to all my concerns. After several days phoning the debt collector as well as emailing them & CC them in on all emails between myself & Y&Y, I have had no reply & no answer machine to leave messages. So could incur more charges, through no fault of my own ??

Hi guys,

Same thing was done by Yaron at Y&Y Management to me - didn't communicate with me and started debt recovery proceedings against me, despite the fact that I was still communicating with him over email to understand the service charges. Could somebody please update their story here? I've been handed over a bill of £1,250 extra over the service charges for the solicitors they have used.

What is the latest please? Did they present you with any proof of them sending you the invoice that they claimed you had failed to pay? Did you have to go to court to get the justice? Which Solicitor firm did you use?

They did the same tactic twice on me. So it is unlikely to be a money grabing tactics.

All M&M Leaseholders - Let's form an alliance against this. Anybody knows how to get in touch with each other?

Applying spurious late payment charges is a hugely profitable activity. It’s definitely immortal but it’s also not illegal. Most leaseholders just pay up.

Our service charges doubled within a couple of years of Y&Y took on the management of the building. I can't say with certainty whether this was their fault but it's worth mentioning. It's now equivalent to two months rent. Then on top of that charges appear from years ago from time to time. £500 was just invoiced recently on the basis that it was some kind of underpayment from 2018. When I have dealt with there staff directly I have found them to be extremely aggressive bordering on rude. ...
