Absolutley terrible experience with White and Sons of Dorking! I was a previous tennant and have been messed around like you wouldn't beleive!

1.We have now moved out of the property in question just over a month and a half ago and we STILL have not received our deposit back despite a written confirmation that it was going to be released three weeks ago! Nobody gets beck to you.
I'm sure my deposit money is earning them a nice bit of interest whilst being held in their bank account!

2.We were lucky in the fact that there was only one viewing on the proerty and the person was interested straight away, however, five minutes before this person is due to arrive I get a phonecall from one of the younger male agents telling me he was running late (the property is a 10 minute walk away from the their office max) and if I could let the lady in!!! I'm a 24 year old girl and in the house alone and I have been told to let a stranger into my home?!
One of my neighbours actually let the lady into the communal area and knocked on my door so I let her in and kept the door open.
The agent didn't turn up until thirtyfive minutes later, didn't really bother to show the lady round the property and didn't know what the hell he was talking about. If anything I deserve the commission, I did more work then the agent!

3.As if it's not stressfull enough moving house we called four times to organise with White and Sons a date and time for us to walk around the property with the landlord and an agent from White and Sons to check for any damage.....no reply.
The DAY we are moving out I get a phonecall at midday stating that the landlord is in Dorking office and ready to come over and check for any damage etc! My partner rushed back to the property to go through everything with all parties concerned.
The lady who called me was USELESS and couldn't care less that we were extremely mift about the situation dispite me telling her how terribly they have organised everything, they didn't even have a key to get into the property so they invited the landlord into the office to go through everything and no one has a key! I mentioned at the time how AWFUL their communication was and that It's totally unacceptable that we (the tennants) were trying hard to get organised before moving out given them a month to organise this, whilst they couldn't care less.

Once they have your money don't expect anyone to help you! We have been messed about and oushed around because we are, afterall, only tennants and are apparently not important.

Many thanks White and Sons, I truly hope I do not ever have to deal with you in the future.

We are very sorry to hear that your experience with White & Sons has not met your expectations. As discussed on the telephone, your landlord had instructed White & Sons on an introductory basis only, whereby we act as an intermediary and are therefore not responsible for key holding, check in or check out services – this is all arranged and agreed between Landlord and Tenant. Our deposits are held in conjunction with the Tenancy Deposit Scheme and cannot be released until both landlord and tenant instruct us in writing. Interest on all deposits is paid to the tenant where applicable and not White and Sons.

It would appear that in this instance there has been a misunderstanding, for which we offer a huge apology. As you can see from our website we deal with a great many clients and in most cases our tenancies end with both parties more than satisfied with our very professional service. We have tried to contact you to resolve any out standing issues, if you feel the situation is still not resolved could we ask you to contact us on 01306 876902.
