I have been renting a property with this letting agency for around 6 months. Initially they did not take my first months rent despite me setting this up prior to moving in. When contacting the agency about this a very rude and disgusting woman advised me I should have read the terms and conditions? What this had to do with anything I am still yet to understand. I tried to pay for the deposit and first months rent prior to moving in with a card and was told no facilities were available to pay by card!!!!? I was then told my father could not pick up my keys despite me being at work because I needed to sign paperwork? I asked if I could be given a copy of this to sign straight away and was advised the "admin team" were not available. I then asked if this could be emailed to me to sign and send back to them, it took 3 or 4 attempts for them to understand and agree to this simple request. All the while the customer service from the two male staff was non existent and myself and my father were treat like idiots. Since moving in I have had issues with damp and mould in the property, I was told when moving in not to dry any clothes on the radiator as the previous tenant had had issues with damp. I followed this and ensured windows were left open regularly for ventilation purposes. Despite this I have mould rising up my bathroom and bedroom walls, the agency tried to blame me for this and said it was just condensation due to time of year. Shockingly they even asked me to clean the mould and paint over it myself. There is no communication between landlord and agency and coming from their mouths directly it is clear the letting agency lie to avoid blame, do not communicate and really do nothing to earn the title or money for "managing the property." They have tried to bring prospective tenants round whilst I have been waiting to move out despite the damp and mould issues and despite the landlord advising he wanted to sort the issues out prior to anyone else moving in. Terrible company, no sense of professionalism and lie to avoid responsibility which I have caught them out on several times (and even have email evidence to prove this) stay away!!!!
