I practically had to manage the property myself for the three years I lived there: Firstly by chasing the previous tenants to get the keys (no formal handover), no inventory check, replacing my own missing parts and also finding new tenants at the end of our tenancy. When I moved in, the place wasn't cleaned, but nobody checked. The person working on Saturday mornings cannot leave the office to assist in key/flat handover and doesn't have access to the computer - why Acquire employs someone to answer the phone but not solve any problems is beyond me, an automated system would be equally effective. I had a hole in the ceiling for 3 years, I had to liaise with the other stakeholders (landlord, owner of property upstairs) to get things sorted. I had a hole in the floor for months (broken floorboard), which was a major risk of injury. When contacting the property management agent, I would receive an email acknowledging the issue, without providing solution but always finishing with "if there is anything I can help with, please let me know". This agent could also be replaced by an automated system. They do have a reporting tool where we can raise incidents directly, which is great and more efficient than their agent. Finally, at the end of the tenancy, they charged 180£ for cleaning the dishwasher (who cleans inside a dishwasher?) or for stains that cannot be removed but they didn't know unless they were managing the property. Overall this was my worse experience as a tenant
