Having been through the stress of moving before, I was reluctant to go through it for the third time this summer. Unfortunately I've become wary of estate agents, so this time I did my research before committing. Despite them valuing our property the lowest of the agents that came round, we decided to go with Wheelers for two reasons: the rates were good and I simply liked Joe the most. He was the least pushy, seemed the most genuine and talked me through the reasons for his valuation.
I braced myself for months of keeping the house tidy (not an easy feat with a toddler around) and the usual feeling of discontent as I mentally disconnected with my home. The market was slow – there were houses on Rightmove that hadn't budged for months. But within two weeks we had an offer. Following a short period of negotiation, Wheelers had achieved the full asking price for us, and we were able to secure the perfect property to move on to.
The selling process was totally uneventful, and I mean that in the best possible way. On several occasions my partner and I questioned ourselves as to why we weren't more stressed. Joe and Alison were always happy to hear from us, and amazingly, Joe even gave us some incredibly valuable advice through the process of buying our new place (which didn't go quite as smoothly), even though he was under no obligation to do so. For the first time, I felt completely supported through the whole process of moving. In fact, I was a little sad when it was all over!
I would unreservedly recommend anyone selling a house in Hanover to do so with Wheelers, and for those buying to keep a close eye on their listings. Thank you, Joe and Alison, for restoring my faith in estate agents!
