I have waited patiently all year before leaving this review, to complete various processes first. I had the misfortune of not looking up the terrible reputation of this letting agents before renting a flat from them. When I was looking to move out, I gave my notice and was ignored and dodged despite various email chasers and phone calls.

I understood I had given notice correctly but due to a lack of response from them (what did I pay all those admin fees for originally?!) they did not clarify on a little obscure sentence on the end of the tenancy agreement which even legal helplines I called said was obscure. When I came to moving out, I finally got hold of Darren who said I had not given correct notice and was liable for a month's rent, nearly £600.

This is when the trouble started as he ignored all my emails asking for clarity. He was extremely RUDE, ARROGANT and UNPROFESSIONAL in all his responses to me, it was shocking and his lack of response initially put me into debt. I took him through the Deposit Protection Scheme (DPS) arbitration who shockingly sided with him costing me my deposit I could not afford to lose. BUT I also took him through the property ombudsman (TPO) who his agency are registered under and they at least sided with my argument on him failing to respond and clarify for me causing me stress and expense, so in turn I just got compensation from him, although it falls short of what I lost overall.

My advice to anyone reading, is this man is happy to take your fees but he is unprofessional, inefficient and as you can see to his responses to various reviews, extremely arrogant and rude. If you have a complaint against him, take him through both the DPS and the TPO, do not stop at the DPS. No doubt Darren will be along shortly to shout his mouth off like he has at everyone else who has raised his terrible service and behaviour, but I have everything in black and white. Heed my warnings and everyone else's on here.
