I was interested in letting a property managed by the Chorlton branch, and was told, pending references, that I would be able to move in by wednesday. When discussing my references I mentioned that, as well as having a full time job, I am a postgraduate student. Without any notice that the property was not available to students, I was told I would not be able to take it, despite it being the day before I was supposed to move in! This has resulted in me being homeless purely as a result of their beaurocracy.

So far I am undecided on whether I would use again. Perhaps I have been a little new to this too and expected to have been spoken to more. Also I wasn't expecting the initial fee to have vat added leaving me with ƒâ€š‚£164 which was less that anticipated. As mentioned, I expect that today's events are teething problems and as long as my property is looked after and my tenants are happy so am I.

No transparency. The fees were sprung on us last minute and explained away as being necessary for printing a few forms. >ƒâ€š‚£300 for printing a few forms followed by a negligent service that often breached the law.

1. Furnish property as advertised OR reduce rent accordingly. 2. Give 24 hours notice AND/OR ask permission to enter or let people into the property. 3. Acknowledge and admit to mistakes. Apologise and offer financial compensation for said mistakes. 4. Not disobey contract law. 5.
