I can guarantee you, every single review on here has a high degree of truth and accuracy.
I rented a new build apartment through Midas property management in Blackburn between late 2018 and mid 2019 and it was easily the most dire rental experience i have ever had. Bearing in mind i have lived in 6 different rental properties across 5 different UK cities.
When i moved into the apartment, it was filthy and the toilet had faecal stains on the inner rim from the contractors. I told Midas and they did not apologise for this or organise a clean.
The front door of the building was insecure and frequently had intruders and homeless roaming around inside. I spent countless nights listening to screaming in the hallways. Midas did nothing to change this.
Midas promised that the un-lit building car park with no gate would be built up and made safe within a month after moving in. To this day, the car park is still unfinished and unsafe when parking up at night.
Finally, the apartment had a cheap electronic lock on the door which malfunctioned 4 months in. I then had to waste a whole weekend hastily arranging two separate locksmith call-outs which set me back 330 pounds. Instead of admitting fault and reimbursing me, Midas' ex-employee Tom Derrett made empty accusations that it was my fault because i was drunk... In the end, after a 6 month property ombudsman case, i had to foot the bill myself and was given a 'sorry, not sorry' payment of 50 pounds.
I also didn't get my 600 pounds deposit back until 5 months after moving out because of the lock dispute and extra-deductions were made with no consent or explanation of why.
I am going to make sure this gets posted on every single review website to stop others from making the same mistake as me. I implore Midas/CRPM top management to get in touch with me so the underlying organisational issues can be resolved.
In conclusion, if you want to be treated like vermin, potentially lose nearly half a grand in repairs and incur unnecessary deposit deductions, rent with Midas Lettings :) It will be an experience, i promise you
The only helpful employee was a worker called Yvonne. Everyone else was extremely rude and disrespectful.
