Absolutley awful first experience with Kelway, and if only the landlord knew just how shoddy of a company we've been forced to deal with, I'm sure they would have pulled out years ago.
Our Viewing, Liphook Branch: Estate Agent couldn't open the door, so after 5/10 minutes of dead silence whilst she tried... I had to step in and open it for her. She handed me the keys and probably didn't realise I had them on my possession for the entire afternoon until I offered to give them back. She didn't speak at all until she was spoken to, had no answers to my questions, but perked back up when she decided to tell me how her commission structure works...
The Paperwork: This was just a mess. Holding deposits were taken, Franco had lost all of his e-mails (and then re-sent them all in one morning) started pestering me for the money I had already paid like Admin Fee's, Security Deposits etc. (£3500 worth of down payments in the end just fyi... for a 1 Bedroom Flat...) - NEXT we are invited in to sign our agreements etc. Although we were sent a 'Draft Tenancy Agreement' via e-mail, still to this day we have NO copy of the agreement we signed that day, despite being asked countless times for them to give us one. *So if any of you *agents are reading this, you KNOW who this is, now GIVE me my Legal Contract.*
Anyway, when we forget our agreed payment date - as a result of having no physical contract to revert back to, nor being given a reply to my Voicemail asking when and HOW they would like their rent to be paid - They realised that we missed half a month at the start of the Tenancy... Start threatening a CCJ INSTANTLY, and tell me they're seeking LEGAL advice, meanwhile getting their members of staff to call me on my personal Facebook Account whilst absolutley hounding my Personal Mobile during the middle of a work-day. Which has to be the most forceful attempt of contact I have ever recieved/seen in my life. And I work in Sales, so you should be worried when I'm shocked.
To round this all off, let me just confirm, don't put these idiots in charge of your property, and don't rent through them. Because as property managers, and a business. They're abismol. And the little men that they've put in charge, are twice as bad.
