Yopa caused me extreme hassle and anxiety just days before completion, and overcharged by £100. On Friday 5th July, I received a phone call from my solicitor to say that there was a shortfall of £100 in the account because the invoice they had received from Yopa was showing £1495 whereas I had been billed (and paid) £1395. I guessed that the reason for the discrepancy had been caused by an error applying the £100 discount "referral code" I received at the beginning of the process.

So, on Saturday 6th July, I had to take time out from organising the move and packing up the house to try and get through to the Yopa call centre to sort this out. First time I called, I held for several minutes and did not get through. I pressed the "1 for callback" service, but nobody called back. An hour later I tried the call centre again, and eventually got through. I explained the problem and was reassured that the amount I had paid was correct (£1395). I was further reassured when the customer services rep said that he was sending the correct invoice to my solicitor, and checked with me to make sure it was going to the right email address.

On Monday 8th July, I contacted my solicitor to make sure she had received the correct invoice. I was told that no email had arrived from Yopa. I could not afford to spend any more time on the phone to Yopa, and I had to be certain that there would be no hitches on completion day (10th July), so for peace of mind I transferred the extra £100.

In conclusion, I have overpaid Yopa £100, and was caused a great deal of additional stress at a time I really didn't need it. I would not recommend Yopa to anyone.

This person is hitting out at Yopa and myself due to a buyer of her property reducing their offer, following a survey which showed some major problems with the property, and would have cost a lot of money to rectify. It's a shame that some people write untruthful and inaccurate reviews due to situations that are not the companies or agents fault.
