Tenants Beware!
Be very careful when renting with this company, particularly when it comes to leaving the property. They will attempt to charge an extortionate amount from your deposit even when this is not warranted.
I my own case I left the property in the condition in which I received it at the beginning of my tenancy, however despite agreeing it was in a good condition in their own end of tenancy report, Leaders attempted to take £440 from my deposit.
If this happens to you, the first thing is to challenge it. They will back down once you assert that you have cleaned the property and have the photographs to prove it. They rely on the fact that you need your deposit back quickly and that you will not stand up to them.
I should have been stronger. Trying to be reasonable I told them the flat was left in a clean and tidy manner and as a good will gesture offered them £100 for a professional cleaner to dust the property. They bit my hand off and took the £100 within 10 minutes of me sending them the email. I was eligible to pay £0 and they knew it.
I rang Leaders many times afterwards to see proof that professional cleaning was carried out, this was never provided. I considered reporting them to Hertfordshire County Council's trading standards, but, and they rely on this, at the end of it all I just wanted to move on with my life.

We had cheaper quotes from other agents, but found that a lot of agents tried to quote a cheap management fee then add on lots of extras. We felt we got good value for money.
