This estate agent promises the world and delivers nothing but a bad service.
From the start there where errors with the brochure, poor pictures, intimidating staff and do not meet arrangements discussed.
It was extremely hard to get through to anyone in the office and they do not stick to opening times stated on the website. I was constantly having to chase for updates and feedback. The only solutions they had to getting more interest was to drop the price.
The branch manager was ringing me asking for details on the property that was already stated in the brochure (that they produced) and home report.
I arranged two dates to do and open house and they wrongly advertised the property for open house by not include the dates. This was eventually rectified and then after the arranged dates had passed, it was again advertised as an open house, so I had random strangers knocking on my door wanting to view the property. It took me over a week of constantly asking for this to be fixed before it was, I even had to go directly to rightmove to see if they could rectify it as I was getting nowhere with the agents. Many, many more errors occurred and I went through complaints procedure, which results in a response of how sorry they where (on many occasions) that I was not happy with their service and it was down to 'human error'. After submitting a very large document to head office with a lot of evidence showing the sheer volume of errors by the staff, they where still wanting me to provide more and not able to comment on hearsay from me but happy to take the word of their staff, with no evidence to support.
I went to collect the house key and the lady in the branch (who I do not remember every meeting), just handed it to me, never asked me my name or signature for it. I could have been anyone.
Extremely unprofessional and incompetent branch. Do not bother using this agent, complete waste of time.
Comment on agent fees
Cheap (and service you will get reflects this). Property was on the market with this agent for three months, the house went to another agent and sold in three weeks. Only good thing was that there was no sale no fee arrangement.
