All deposits that we take from tenants are secured with a deposit protection company this is not only to safeguard the landlord but also to ensure that your deposit can not be taken or used by an agent or landlord without your authority or agreement. Woodcock Holmes will always itemise any charges made against your deposit to both the landlord and you as the tenant therefore ensuring that the regulations are adhered to set down by the deposit protection company. Should Woodcock Holmes make any deductions against your deposit these monies will either be used to carryout works, clear rent arrears or will be paid to the landlord accordingly. As explained to you by one of the staff here should you dispute any of our findings you are well within your rights to speak to the deposit protection company and arise a dispute with them at no cost to yourself. The fact that you did not raise a dispute with them somewhat confuses me as if I were that sure the deposit should have been returned I certainly would have raised a dispute and allowed the alternative dispute resolution team to resolve it on both our behalves.
