An absolutely appalling estate agent. 6 months of complete apathy and incompetence. Sold the house 40,000 below market value to a property dealer who walked into a different office. O* is a junior with no experience or initiative and was put in charge of the sale. No negotiation or communication from him, never chased unless instructed to do so, then took a holiday 2 days before completion date with outstanding issues, leaving no instructions for anyone in the office. Office was no help just said he was on holiday. if you do use this agent avoid using Oliver at all costs, as it almost cost me the sale.

Suggest anyone use any other agent, the lack of any kind of service was truly shocking, luckily my solicitor was on top of the sale.

It is about time agents like this start earning their exorbitant fees for basically being an online shop window.

The house was successfully let by the Chelmsford team for 7 years and they offered a professional letting service that i can highly recommend and helped me extensively with a problem tenant. Unfortunately the sales team are the opposite end of the professionalism scale.

I have left several messages with your team, and as usual they have been totally ignored. Do not post "you are sorry" on this forum as your team are obviously "not sorry" as they have made no attempt to contact me by phone or any of the 3 email addresses provided. I am not here to train your team just to post what an appauling lack of service Oliver provided. Unfortunately in this instance your profession has earned its reputation of being lazy and overpaid. charging 3,800 for being effectively "a shop window" and selling a property 40,000 below market value shows how inept and overpriced your fees are. At no stage did Oliver assist with the sale, I contacted him several times threatening to pull the listing from you unless he chased the buyer. The property was sold on the proviso that it was a 4 week sale, the offer was in November and the sale completed in April. And to cap it all Oliver went on holiday leaving no instructions for the team to resolve the outstanding problem. When i contacted the team they said it would need to wait until Oliver returned. The buyers mortgage offer was due to expire and i was going to pull the sale as it was now out of contract but my solicitor to control and waived the additional fees to ensure completion. You almost lost the undeserved commision because of Olivers incompetence as I was going to relist with a better agent.

The lettings team have been totally professional and have been in contact with me several times during the final closure of the tennancy agreement and subsequent to the sale.
