Where do I even start?!

We were renting for 11 months whilst we saved for our house. Sonya from Stourbridge was really helpful when we first moved in. Everything was fine. Then all the problems started...

We had very troublesome neighbours. Home point told us they would be out within 2 months.. 5 months later they were still there causing problems. They would continuously ignore emails. Their customer service seriously needs some improvements.

They would only call when suited them.. we had someone to come and fix our boiler but then never returned to finish the job. The lady who would call to arrange viewings would call on the same day to tell me (not ask me) tell me that people are coming to view that very same evening, I got the house all ready and they didn't even turn up!

I am still waiting for our deposit back and it's been nearly 3 weeks! I've had so much rubbish fed to me to delay the process it is unreal.

My star goes to Steve at the Stourbridge office who is the only person who seems to have a clue what's going on and some good customer skills.

Other than that! Appalling!!

Avoid at ALL costs! Don't fall into the trap!!

I was duped in to signing a guarantor form for a tenant. I was only shown 1 page by the tenant to sign and was told it was a reference form only. I spoke to a lady at their Walsall office who explained to me that the form I was signing was just as a referee and that the tenancy was for 6 months only. If the tenant could show they are a good tenant then they would renew for another 6 months. At the time I had just lost my Father and was suffering from severe disability, mobility and depression. I was on a lot of sedative medication including medicinal pharmaceutical opiods as well as anti depressants. A couple of years down the line I received threatning letters from homepoint demanding payment for unpaid rent by the tenant. I called them to ask what this was about and they told me I was a guarantor for the said tenant. I advised them that I had no knowledge of this. I asked for evidence and they sent me the paper I had signed along with other pages. I told them I had not seen the extra pages before this. I explained to them that I was duped in to signing this at a vulnerable time but they took no notice and gave wailed threats over the phone and were extremely rude. I do not have any contact with the tenant since they asked me to be a referee for them. I have now taken legal advice as my health has improved a little. Please do not trust homepoint. For whatever reason I can only guess bonuses will their employess lie to you to get a contract in place for a sale etc. Safe to say what homepoint and the tenant did was illegal. And they do not have a leg to stand on. When I received the first letter demanding payment I asked homepoint to immediately cancel the tenants tenancy and to not renew it as I will not take responsibility. Their response which I cannot believe was you are responsible until the tenant leaves. We will not be cancelling their tenancy. Even though they failed to pay the rent. Do not go to this estate agents stay away. I will be posting warnings about homepoint throughout social media to make people aware of their dirty underhanded tricks.
